  I Thought I Was Fat When I was Only 8 Years Old.
I was obsessed with changing the way my body looked. 

I decided to restrict food as a way of controlling my weight and I became a yo-yo dieter. I became a gym-junkie - I would go and take aerobic classes at my gym to try to get the fat off my body so I can be skinny. I would go through periods of starvation and then bingeing. I would gain weight. I would lose weight. I followed all the fad diets. And I became very unhealthy and despised my body even further.

I Turned To Food And I Failed ...

Food made me feel good and it was comforting – temporarily! When I would go out shopping for clothes I hated the person staring at me in the mirror – I would say “You’re so fat! OMG, you’re putting on weight again! I have to get rid of this fat immediately!” And the cycle would start all over again – I’d decide to try a new diet on Monday! I kept saying that I just don’t have enough will power or discipline. Then I’d try another diet thinking maybe, just maybe, the diet before didn’t work for my body type. I was under the illusion that there was the ‘right’ diet out there and I was on a mission to find it!

I Tried So Hard To Get It Right ...

I’ve spent thousands, upon thousands of dollars trying to find the solution to be thin; probably just like you, I bought all the magazines & books, I did so many courses. In fact, my primary reason for studying Nutrition at University 11 years a go was to become an expert at being thin!

I Had Completely Given Up ...

I found myself disappointed that I couldn’t stick to my plan or summon one more ounce of will power to overcome the compelling pull to food. The internal battle left me feeling frustrated and exhausted. I tried all the fad diets and when they didn't work, who did I blame? I blamed myself and felt really bad about it. I felt weak & helpless. And I ended up feeling resigned and un-inspired. I eventually developed an eating disorder. I would switch from bingeing to starving. My life was at risk as I suffered from Bulimia. I felt miserable.

It took me 11 years to stop this viscous cycle – I had had enough! And then I started asking 'WHY' and opened up to other possibilities and what happened was an experience that took me outside of my body and gave me a new perspective.

This new awareness shifted my context. I actually started to love my body! That was completely new to me! This changed my experience forever. I stopped focusing on losing weight, counting calories and torturing myself at the gym and I started focusing on gaining health. This was my new obsession. Your life will change when you understand the reasons why dieting & exercise will not give you the ‘thin’ body you so desperately want. You will be shown the tools to stop this destructive cycle. Dietitians and fitness gurus have you believe that it has to all do with food & exercise. They will have you think that you're weak and lazy. But you're not, you're smart! The result is weight gain. If Diets worked, no one would be overweight yet studies show that most have tried this and failed. These quick fixes can significantly damage your self esteem as they will never give you the long term results you want. In fact they slow your metabolism down making it harder to lose weight in the long run, making you feel like you're a loser, or you feel you don't have any will power and you end up feeling like a failure because you keep gaining all the weight back.

Our government spends $100 million per annum advertising soft drinks compared with only $2 million spent promoting fruit and vegetables. Advertising on supposedly ‘healthy’ foods laden with chemicals, sugar and fat fill our shelves, all lacking in nutrients that all negatively influence our taste buds and ideas about nutrition.
